Infineon E-GOLD™voice PMB7880

The E-GOLDvoice (PMB7880) is the heart of Infineon’s second platform generation for low-cost handsets, the ULC2 (Ultra Low Cost 2). Improving upon the first generation single-chip E-GOLDradio, the E-GOLDvoice adds to the integration of baseband and radio frequency transceiver functionality by also integrating power management. This feature makes the E-GOLDvoice the first GSM single-chip with a Power Management Unit (PMU). This second generation single-chip features power management in digital CMOS technology and includes advanced circuitry to allow direct-to-battery connection without the use of external regulators.
