CircuitVision Analysis on the Top Metal Routing of Select Areas on the Intel 45nm QX9650 Penryn Processor

This CircuitVision Analysis focuses on the top-level metal routing (metal 8, metal 9 and the metal 8-9 via) for selected areas of Intel’s 45nm QX9650 Penryn processor. Specific emphasis is placed on the I/O interface for the L2 SRAM, the area between the two L2 SRAM blocks, including area that overlaps with the bus unit, the area between the L1 cache memory and the bus unit, and some selected areas in the upper half of the Penryn die.
